I do not have a feel about whether stevia is a viable substitute for sugar.

I am personally finicky about my coca cola beverage and do not like any of the sugar substitutes compared to the original.

KO was downgraded today to Underperform from Outperform at Crédit Agricole. I do not have access to that report. It may account for the weakness today.

My average cost per share is around $25. I am content to harvest the dividend and to hold long term for the dividend growth which will improve, hopefully, every year my dividend yield based on my constant cost number.

Generally, for a buy under my dividend growth strategy, I want a 3% dividend yield or higher as a starting point. KO raised its quarterly dividend by 10% earlier this year from $.255 to $.28 per share or $1.12 annually. A $37 total cost price would give an investor about a 3% starting yield.TENNINDEPENDENThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17444227958539559639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2986124651030959736.post-57458071280797640802013-09-03T12:54:41.256-05:002013-09-03T12:54:41.256-05:00I've been waiting for a good entry point for K...I've been waiting for a good entry point for KO, so was pleased to see it mentioned in your blog this week. There is an article about Coke on Seeking Alpha today (http://seekingalpha.com/article/1670112-coca-cola-makes-serious-changes-to-stay-on-top) which discusses the trend toward using stevia (a natural zero-calorie sweetener) in beverages and how Coke is responding.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
