LB gives green light on repurchase of Pepsi sold in September 2008

LB cleared the repurchase and then some today of Pepsico (PEP) at $49.6 that was sold in September 2008 at over $70.  This position was sold with the intent of buying it back due to an assessment of risk then being signaled by the name of the model that can not be mentioned today per agreement this morning between LB and RB.   The model flashing the sell signal was the one shown in this post, what was then viewed as a possible Cataclysmic Event formation.   This is an Unstable VIX Pattern: Good or Bad for Stocks?

We will discuss this purchase later tonight or tomorrow.  LB likes the stability of consumer staple stocks even if Boss Hogg says stay away.  In our view, we are just buying some back that was sold at higher prices, now hoping for a long term hold at a favorable entry price.
